Raze​

Over time I’ve become, in my own way, the definition of a recluse. I don’t feel the need to engage with society in that I throw myself headlong into every social issue, there’s too much headache and heartache for that. I think society itself has become sick in its own thought and its in that thought that I have become a recluse.

I live a simple life, I think most of us do or at least we wish for simple. I make beats, write lyrics, practice instruments (guitar, bass, keys, drums etc.). I enjoy every aspect of the creating process, even in times of frustration. Knowing, that at the end of the road there is a creative work makes it all worthwhile.

I started making beats and writing raps at the age of fifteen. Not to sound cliché but Hip Hop saved my life, I wouldn’t be here today without it. What made beatsmithing and lyric writing so appealing to me is the escape. I create the world, I create the soundscapes and tell the stories that my hand writes.

For a long time, I didn’t release music for the world to hear, it just wasn’t all that important for me to be heard. What was important was it gave me a purpose, not just in my day job, but a reason to show up to the job in the first place. Music is my purpose, and I think having a purpose is a vital part of life. Give your life meaning because waiting for something to happen is not a good way to live.
